National Rugby League Women Round 5 Betting Picks 2025
Canterbury Bulldogs Over Gold Coast Titans (+118 via FanDuel)
The Bulldogs are 2-2 through four games of their first season in the Telstra Women’s Premiership. Canterbury started the season 2-0 and have dropped their last two matches. However, they boast one of the top scoring outputs on the ladder ranking fifth in total points this year. Overall, the Bulldogs are scoring an average of 18 points per match. They have been solid defensively as well, surrendering the sixth fewest points overall and just 20 per match.

Gold Coast also enters this match with a 2-2 record and sits in 9th place overall on the ladder. The Titans started their year 0-2 before bouncing back to win their last two matches. Theyβve managed to find a spark on offense, scoring 20 or more points in each of their last two rounds. However, they did get touched up for 44 points by a top offense in the Broncos earlier this season.
The books are showing the Bulldogs offense some respect despite entering this match as 2.5-point underdogs. Canterbury is -130 on DraftKings and -122 on FanDuel to cover the spread.
Sydney Roosters vs. Wests Tigers Under 39.5 (-108 via FanDuel)
Sydney is off to a 4-0 start to its 2025 campaign. The Roosters have scored the second most points in the league (126) and have the second-best point differential (62) on top of that. They are scoring an average of 31 points per match this year. While they are giving up 16 points per match defensively, that number has been somewhat skewed after playing two of the top scoring teams in the league over the last two weeks. In their two games against weaker offenses, the Roosters did not reach the 40 point threshold to cash this prop.

Wests has yet to win a game this season and are one spot ahead of the Canberra Raiders for last place. The Tigers have mustered only 40 points all season long and are averaging just 10 points per match. Teams have been able to score an average of 21 points per match against them. However, their inability to put points of their own on the board has resulted in less than 40 points combined in all four of their matches so far.
DraftKings has this total weighted equally at -120 on either side of the prop. Taking the discount on FanDuel is the smarter play if you are able.
North Queensland Cowboys -7.5 vs. New Zealand Warriors (-110 via DraftKings)
The Cowboys are coming off of back-to-back wins which has propelled them into 4th place on the ladder. Overall, they are 3-1 on the season and in a three-way tie for the second-best record in the league. In their three wins this year, North Queensland has won by an average of 14 points. Two of those were by at least eight points.

New Zealand finds itself in the bottom third of the ladder with a 1-3 record. The Warriors have scored the third-fewest points in the league (50) over their first four matches. They are averaging only 12 points per match this year and are conceding 21 to their opponents. All three of their losses have exceeded this spread.
FanDuel has this spread at 8.5 in favor of the Cowboys and is offering -102 for North Queensland to cover. It seems safer to pay a little more juice for an extra point of cushion here.
Parramatta Eels vs. St George Illawarra Dragons Over 35.5 (-112 via FanDuel)
Parramatta enter this round with a 2-2 record and are one of five teams with that mark. They are scoring an average of 17 points per match this year and have scored 70 points in total. Defensively, they are giving up 18 points on average this season. Two of their four matches have gone over this prop total so far. Two rounds ago, they combined for 58 points with the last-place Raiders.

The Dragons also bring a 2-2 record with them into this matchup. They too have scored 70 points and averaged 17 points per match this season. Although, St George Illawarra has allowed their opponents to score an average of 20 points per match against them this year. Two of their matches have topped the 36-point mark.
These teams have combined to hit the Over on this prop in each of their last two meetings. Last season, the Dragons topped the Eels in a 42-12 blowout. The year before that, they exceeded this total by themselves with a 38-12 win against the Eels.
