Huddersfield Giants Over Hull FC (+110 via Caesars)

This weekโ€™s action begins with a clash between the last two teams on the table. Huddersfield sits at the very bottom with only six points through 20 matches this season. The Giants have won only three times this year and have an eye-popping -304 point differential. However, they are coming into this round with some momentum having come away with a 24-22 win over the York Knights last week.

Hull FC has not won a match since the middle of June. The Black and Whites are on a six-match losing streak heading into this weekโ€™s match. Whatโ€™s worse is they have suffered at least a ten point loss in each of their last two matches. The Airlie Birds are without the services of at least ten of their key players which will make their path to victory that much harder in this round.

These teams faced off in Round 14 back in June. Which, just so happened to be the last time Hull left the field of play with a win. The Black and Whites bested the Giants 36-12 that day. Huddersfield, though, claimed victory in its two prior meetings with Hull going back to last season.

Wigan Warriors (-6.5) vs. Leigh Leopards (+100 via Hard Rock)

Wigan enters this match as the heavy favorites going off as high as -250 on Caesars. The Warriors have not lost a match in over two months. Better still, they have beaten their opponents by at least seven points in four of their last six matches. The Pies are the second-highest scoring team (587) on the table and are allowing the fourth-fewest points (375) this year.

Leigh has done well for itself this year sitting in 5th place on the table tied with the Warrington Wolves with 26 points. The Leopards are on a five match winning streak of their own. Although they have competed in several low scoring contests to get there. Leigh is averaging 22.9 points per match this season. Meanwhile they are surrendering 18.9 to their opponents.

The Warriors completely dominated the Leopards in Round 4 of the season. Wigan blanked Leigh, walking away with a 54-0 shutout.

Wakefield Trinity (-8.5) vs. Catalans Dragons (-105 via Hard Rock)

Wakefield finds itself in second place on the table just two points back from the Leeds Rhinos for first. The Trinity boast the third highest point differential (215) in the league. They are averaging 27.8 points per match this season. Meanwhile, they are surrendering an average of only 10.8 defensively. On top of that, Wakefield has covered this spread in five of its last six victories.

Catalans have hit a rough patch losing four of its last five matches. The Dragons are clinging to the 8th spot on the table but are fading fast. They currently hold the fifth worst point differential (-182) and are one of three clubs in the top ten to have given up more points than they have scored. To make matters worse, Catalans has been beaten by at least nine points in each of its last three losses. This includes a 60-18 dismantling in Round 17 at the hands of Toulouse Olympique.

The Trinity destroyed the Dragons in Round 11 back in May. That day saw Wakefield leave with a 58-10 win over Catalans. All 58 points from the Trinity were unanswered and 48 of those were scored in the second half.
