How to Bet On Darts
There are several ways to get in on the betting action in darts. These include the normal moneyline bets that pick an outright winner. You can also choose to bet against the spread where a player has to win or lose by a set number of legs to cash your ticket.
On top of those, there are individual match props including a player to score a perfect 9-dart finish, which player will have the most 180’s, or even, what the highest checkout will be for a player.
This week, I’ve selected two of the four matches which offer the best opportunity to cash based on the matchup and the odds.
BetMGM Premier League Darts 2025 Night Ten Betting Picks
Rob Cross (-1.5) over Nathan Aspinall (+140 via Caesars)
Thursday, April 10th, 11:45 a.m. Pacific
On the surface, Nathan Aspinall should not be the underdog in this matchup. The Asp has won the last seven head-to-head matches against Rob Cross dating back to February of 2024. In fact, Cross hasn’t beaten Aspinall since November of 2023.
However, things could get a lot more interesting in this match with a couple of players in sub-par playing conditions. Aspinall is entering Night Ten on the heels of a convincing loss to Stephen Bunting in last week’s European Tour Tournament in Germany. Aspinall admitted he lost steam in the finals and revealed that his arm was in a lot of pain after the match.
As for Cross, he opted to sit out of the “next few events,” after he announced he was not feeling up to playing in the International Darts Open this last weekend. He has yet to disclose whether or not he will play on Night Ten. However, if he sits out, he may miss an opportunity to edge his way into the top 4 overall as he is currently tied with Gerwyn Price at the cut line.
Cross has advanced to the semi-finals in six of nine nights in the Premier League so far. He has covered this spread in four of them.
Stephen Bunting over Luke Humphries (+148 via FanDuel)
Thursday, April 10th, 12:45 p.m. Pacific
Night ten includes a rematch from last week’s semi-final in which Stephen Bunting bested Luke Humphries 6-2 to advance to the bracket finals. After which, Bunting slugged it out with Gerwyn Price in the finals, ultimately walking away with a 6-5 victory. Not only did The Bullet pick up his first Night Win of the tournament, he also won his first three matches of his Premier League season.
He would ride that momentum into his next tournament, securing his first European Tour Title just four days later. Bunting sailed his way through the tournament ending it with an 8-5 win against Nathan Aspinall who could not keep pace in the finals.
The Bullet is enjoying a nice winning streak heading into Thursday afternoon’s match. Even better, Bunting has faced Luke Humphries twice in the last week and has beaten him both times. Look for this one to be close, but give the edge to the thrower on the heater.
