Aussie Rules Football Round 7 Betting Picks 2025
Round 7 of Aussie Rules Football (AFL) is here! What happened last week? My streak was ended with a terrible week of picks for the AFL. We’re bouncing back this week, though. Let’s get ready for another undefeated weekend with our Aussie Rules Football Round 7 picks!
If you’re wondering if you need an offshore book to bet on Aussie Rules Football, you don’t! You can get lines right at DraftKings and FanDuel. This isn’t rugby for those unfamiliar with the odd-shaped football, bigger-sized football, lack of pads, and massive field. For a complete breakdown of Aussie Rules football, check out this page.

Aussie Rules Football Round 7 Best Bets, Picks, and Predictions
Adelaide Crows at Fremantle Dockers (-4.5 on DraftKings)
Friday, 4/25/25 at 6:10 AM ET (4:10 AM Pacific)
The first game for our Aussie Rules Football Round 7 picks features the Adelaide Crows and the Fremantle Dockers. Adelaide finds themselves as one of the top teams this year with just one loss by one point to Gold Coast. They’ve defeated St. Kilda, Essendon, North Melbourne, Geelong, and the GWS Giants.
Fremantle finds itself just above the middle of the pack right now. They’ve been fairly inconsistent. They opened up with a loss to Geelong before winning four straight. In those wins, they defeated Sydney, West Coast, Western Bulldogs, and Richmond. Last week, however, they dropped a game to Melbourne.
Dockers’ Shai Bolton and Hayden Young should be able to have a strong game this week against Adelaide, and the Crows will need to find a way to stop them. Adelaide has been allowing a lot of disposals over the past few weeks. Although due to their strong offense, they’ve been able to stay ahead.
This game feels like it could become a shootout, which will benefit the Crows (and over backers). Last time these two met, the Crows only had 34 points. This team is playing much better this year and it’s hard to fade them.
Aussie Rules Football Round 7 picks for this match: Adelaide (-4.5)
Brisbane Lions (-12.5) at St. Kilda Saints
Friday, 4/25/25 at 11:20 PM ET (8:20 PM Pacific)
Brisbane has been a bit of a frustrating team to bet on. They did open up with close wins over Sydney, West Coast, and Geelong. Then they looked a little more dominant with wins over Richmond and the Western Bulldogs. However, this last week, they looked completely lost, losing to Collingwood, 105-53.
However, things should get easier with St. Kilda in town. We’ve taken St. Kilda two weeks in a row, and that stops this week. They have three wins against Geelong, Richmond, and Port Adelaide. They’ve dropped games to Adelaide, GWS Giants, and last week they were beaten by the Western Bulldogs 127-56.
St. Kilda has been disappointing overall and is likely already looking ahead to the free agency and draft to get more consistency. St. Kilda looks tired, and I think their lack of depth is catching up with them. It’s possible St. Kilda gets ahead to start this game, but they won’t be able to keep up.
This Brisbane Lions team doesn’t feel like they’re going to drop two games in a row. Kai Lochmann should also return, which will be very beneficial to Brisbane.
Aussie Rules Football Round 7 picks for this match: Brisbane (-12.5)
Western Bulldogs at GWS Giants (-12.5 on DraftKings)
Saturday, 4/26/25 at 5:35 AM ET (Saturday 2:25 Pacific)
The next Aussie Rules Football Round 7 picks game includes the team ranked at the very bottom of the league against one that’s trying to stay in the Top 8. The Bulldogs have lost to Hawthorne, Collingwood, Fremantle, and Brisbane. They’ve defeated North Melbourne, Carlton, and St. Kilda.
The GWS Giants opened up the season strong with wins over Collingwood and Melbourne. They lost to Hawthorn before beating West Coast and St. Kilda. Last week, they only managed to put up 34 points in a loss to Adelaide.
The Bulldogs have been solid against the Giants in the past few games. However, this seems like a better GWS Giants team than we’ve seen recently. These two teams do not like each other, so expect a physical game.
The Giants’ defense is going to prove too tough for the Bulldogs. They’re one of the best defensive teams in the league. If the Bulldogs can’t rally their offense and find ways to put up points, they won’t be able to keep up in this one.
Aussie Rules Football Round 7 picks for this match: GWS Giants (-12.5)
Geelong Cats (-9.5 on DK) at Carlton Blues
Sunday, 4/27/25 at 1:20 AM ET (Saturday 10:20 PM Pacific)
This is one of the hardest games to handicap for the Aussie Rules Football Round 7 picks, but I couldn’t help but throw it on here because it should be a great matchup. Carlton opened up with a loss to Richmond, Hawthorn, the Bulldogs, and Collingwood. Despite being 0-4, they’ve won their last two against West Coast and North Melbourne by a wide margin.
The Geelong Cats have been more up and down, winning against Fremantle to start the season before losing to St. Kilda and Brisbane. However, they’ve now won three straight against Melbourne, Adelaide, and Hawthorn.
The Cats’ attack is likely what will prove to be too much for the Blues to stop. Despite Carlton looking better these past two games, Geelong is still the superior team. Geelong is currently 8th in the standings while Carlton is 13th. Though a win by the Blues here would be a good push upward for them.
However, I don’t see it happening. The Cats have been too good this year and are playing very well.
