Round 13 of Aussie Rules Football (AFL) is here! Last weekend was full of some upsets, and we were on the wrong side of a couple. However, we kept a winning record, finishing 3-2. Our season record is now 26-22. Here are my favorite Aussie Rules Football Round 13 picks!

Aussie Rules Football Round 13 Best Bets, Picks, and Predictions
(6) Richmond Tigers (-8.5) vs. (14) Sydney Swans
Friday, 6/6/25 at 11:20 PM ET (8:20 PM Pacific)
The last time we saw the Sydney Swans, they got blown out by Adelaide, 131-41. They’ll need their best offensive guys, Isaac Heeny and Chad Warner, to step up. Sydney has been up and down all year, but it definitely seems like they may be on their way to another downslide.
It’s been such a disappointing season for Sydney, who had high hopes coming into the season. It’s important to remember that last season, when these two met, the Swans were the favorites. However, the Tigers won that game.
For Richmond, Dion Prestia came back last week from injury and had 31 disposals. They’re definitely a different team with him on the field. He’ll need to stay healthy to keep it up, though, and that’s been a big question mark.

Richmond played the Giants last week and hung in there, losing by only three points. They’re a young team, and Sydney should win this game. However, with how Sydney has been playing, there’s no way I can back them with over double-digit points.

(5) Geelong Cats (-16.5) vs. (4) Gold Coast Suns
Saturday, 6/7/25 at 2:15 AM ET (Friday, 11:15 PM Pacific)
This should be the game of the weekend as the number five Geelong Cats take on the number four Gold Coast Suns. The biggest news is that the Cats are getting back Patrick Dangerfield, which should only help them. They’ve been a powerhouse team, with over 100 points in the last four games.
The Suns are coming off an embarrassing loss to Fremantle last week. We backed the Suns in that game, and they lost 75-64. They are a strong team, and while they’re ranked higher than Geelong right now, they haven’t seemed as powerful as Geelong.

It surprises me that the Geelong Cats are 18.5-point favorites. Do I think they’re the better team despite being ranked one spot lower? Yes. Do I think the Suns have struggled away from their home stadium? Yes. However, both of these teams are very good, and this should come down to the wire. I just don’t see Geelong winning by a large double-digit spread. This should be closer to 9.5-11.5

(1) Collingwood Magpies vs. (12) Melbourne Demons – the Magpies should be higher favorites than this. Give me Collingwood to cover (-23.5)
