Aussie Rules Football Round 11 Betting Picks 2025

Round 11 of Aussie Rules Football (AFL) is here! Life got crazy, and we missed getting picks out last week. However, we’re here to redeem ourselves. Perhaps we needed a reset after Round 9 anyway. Our season record is now 19-19. Here are my favorite Aussie Rules Football Round 11 picks!

If you’re wondering if you need an offshore book to bet on Aussie Rules Football, you don’t! You can get lines right at DraftKings and FanDuel. This isn’t rugby for those unfamiliar with the odd-shaped football, bigger-sized football, lack of pads, and massive field. For a complete breakdown of Aussie Rules football, check out this page.

Aussie Rules Football Round 11 Best Bets, Picks, and Predictions

(7) Geelong Cats (-1.5) vs. (5) Western Bulldogs

Thursday, 5/22/25 at 5:30 AM ET (2:30 AM Pacific)

Geelong has been a really solid team all year. They started 1-2, with a seven-point loss to St. Kilda and a nine-point loss to Brisbane. Since then, they’ve gone 5-2. They lost to Carlton and a four-point loss to the GWS Giants.

However, their blowout win over Port Adelaide last week came at a cost. Patrick Dangerfield and Jack Bowes both had hamstring injuries and will miss this game against the Bulldogs. Bailey Smith, one of Geelong’s most aggressive players, may miss the game as well, although he’s still chirping ahead of the game.

As good as Geelong has been, they’re one of the worst-ranked teams for disposals. The Bulldogs, on the other hand, are the top team. The Dogs have won four of their last five games, with their only loss being a ten-point loss to Gold Coast.

Bulldogs’ Rhylee West has been on fire recently, coming off a four-goal performance. Their depth is also very solid, which could give them an advantage over the Cats. Look, I’m an animal guy and I enjoy both cats and dogs. However, let’s be honest, normally when dogs and cats face off, you put your money on the bigger animal.

(10) Essendon Bombers (-18.5) vs. (16) Richmond Tigers

Friday, 5/23/25 at 5:40 AM ET (2:40 AM Pacific)

The next game on our Aussie Rules Football Round 11 picks sees the Essendon Bombers take on the Richmond Tigers. Essendon is coming off a terrible performance, suffering a 91-point loss to the Bulldogs. It was a sloppy game by the Bombers, and they’ll look to bounce back.

Prior to that loss, they had won four of the previous five games, defeating Port Adelaide, Melbourne, West Coast, North Melbourne, and Sydney. Essendon is an interesting team, and they feel easy to handicap at the moment. When they’re playing a team in the top nine, you fade them. When they’re playing a team in the bottom nine, you bet them.

They’re facing a bottom-nine team this week as Richmond currently sits as the 16th-ranked team. Richmond has lost three of the last four games. On top of that, for the second straight week, Jayden Short was pulled from the game due to his knee injury and may not play.

Speaking of injuries, the Bombers are getting back forward Jade Gresham and midfielder Darcy Parish. I don’t think this Richmond team can stop or even slow Archie Roberts, who’s been on fire for the Bombers. On top of all that, Essendon is number two in disposals, while Richmond is last in the league in disposals allowed. This one could get ugly.

Aussie Rules Football Round 11 picks for this match: Essendon Bombers (-18.5)

(9) Fremantle Dockers (-18.5) vs. (15) Port Adelaide Power

Saturday, 5/10/25 at 6:10 AM ET (3:10 AM Pacific)

After dropping three straight games to Adelaide, St. Kilda, and Collingwood, the Fremantle Dockers rebounded against the GWS Giants. It was a strong win, and one where the Dockers looked more confident and powerful.

They’ll face Port Adelaide in an interesting matchup. While both of these teams have struggled to crack the top eight, they’re number one and number two in limiting disposals. I don’t dive into totals much for the AFL, however, this is one that I wouldn’t mind putting a little on the under.

The Port Adelaide Power would like to get something going after losing three straight, however, they’ll be quite shorthanded. They’ll be without Josh Sinn, Lachie Jones, and Jason Horne-Francis due to injuries suffered in Round 10.

The Power put up a good fight two weeks ago against their rivals, Adelaide, losing by only 5 points. However, the two games sandwiched around that saw them lose 131-41 to Brisbane and 115-39 to Geelong. I don’t feel they’ll be able to keep up with the Dockers.

Aussie Rules Football Round 11 picks for this match: Fremantle Dockers (-18.5)

(13) St. Kilda Saints vs. (3) Gold Coast Suns (-12.5)

Sunday, 5/25/25 at 2:40 AM ET (Saturday – 11:40 PM Pacific)

The last game on my Aussie Rules Football Round 11 picks is the St. Kilda Saints vs. the Gold Coast Suns. You’d expect the third-ranked team to be favored by more than 12.5 against the 13th-ranked team. Especially given that the Saints have not looked great as of late.

The Saints did have a surprising blowout win over Fremantle to start this month. However, that’s the only game they’ve won in the last six. They’ve had a grueling schedule, dropping games to GWS, the Bulldogs, Brisbane, Carlton, and West Coast.

It won’t get any easier when they face the Suns at Marvel Stadium. Gold Coast has won three of its last four games, with the one loss being to Brisbane 66-49. They’ve been playing very strong football as of late, beating Sydney 117-79, Hawthorn 104-96, and the Bulldogs 106-96.

This game has a feel of the Sydney game to me, where the Suns should win closer to a margin of 30+ points, easily covering the 12.5.

Aussie Rules Football Round 11 picks for this match: Gold Coast Suns (-12.5)

Bonus pick: Adelaide Crows (-50.5) over West Coast Eagles (Saturday, May 24 @ 10:10 PM)
