AFLW Round 4 Betting Picks 2026

The Aussie Rules Football Women’s division is entering its fourth round of the 2026 season. This week, we reach the end of the first third of the season. Playoff spots are still up for grabs and every round counts. These AFLW Round 4 Betting Picks 2026 aim to get you invested in this weekend’s action.

Moneylines are all over the place again this week with heavy juice towards the favorites in many of the matchups. As such, targeting the points spreads is the way to attack this slate. Thankfully, there are enough to make things interesting in this round.

Sydney Swans -12.5 vs. Western Bulldogs (-115 via theScore)

Sydney is off to a hot start having won its first three matches of the season. However, the Swans still find themselves in fourth place on the ladder. Which comes as a result of a weaker scoring percentage than the top three clubs. That percentage has not been weak enough to keep them from beating their last two opponents by at least 13 points. In fact, Sydney posted a 23 point victory against St Kilda and a 24 point win against Essendon. On top of that, the Swans have topped 60 points in two matches this year.

Western has done well for itself to start the season posting a 2-1 mark so far. Despite their winning record, the Bulldogs are on the wrong end of a 91.7 points percentage. Of course, North Melbourne was responsible for much of that having hung 70 points on the Dogs last week. Keeping up with the high-powered Swans this week could prove tough. Western’s highest scoring output this year was its 48 point performance in a Round 2 win against Richmond.

These teams have not faced each other since Round 5 of the 2024 season with the Bulldogs logging a 39-32 win that day. However, in 2023, the Swans laid waste to the Dogs 96-39 in their Round 8 match.

Gold Coast SUNS +12.5 vs. Port Adelaide Power (-115 via theScore)

Port Adelaide has benefited from a soft opening schedule and enters this round with a 2-1 record, but is under 100 in scoring percentage. Over the first three matches, the Power have faced two of the league’s worst offenses in Fremantle and GWS. Their only real test so far this year resulted in a 65-33 loss to Hawthorn. Port Adelaide is averaging a paltry 6 goals and 6 behinds per match this season which will make it hard to pull away from a team by more than 12 points.

Gold Coast has had a back and forth start to its year sitting in 10th place on the ladder with a 1-2 record. However, they are the only team below the playoff cut line with a positive points percentage. The SUNS have scored 140 points on the year while conceding 138 defensively. Last week, they hung close to Geelong in a spirited match ultimately falling to the Cats by a 64-57 score. The Gold Coast has covered this spread in each of its last two matches.

The outlook does not fare well for the SUNS based on the past. They have not been close to beating the Power in their last two head-to-head contests. Last season Port Adelaide handed a 100-40 loss to the Gold Coast. We have yet to see the potential for that kind of offensive explosion from the Power this season which should help this game stay close.

Hawthorn Hawks -5.5 vs. Adelaide Crows (-115 via theScore)

Adelaide stumbled out of the gates losing its first two matches of the season. To their credit, the Crows managed to keep things close against the Swans, closing out that match with a 61-53 loss. On the whole, Adelaide has had trouble putting big numbers on the board averaging 6.3 goals per match this year to 7.3 behinds. The Crows are scoring an average of 45.3 points through their first three contests.

Hawthorn suffered an early setback to its 2026 campaign after dropping its Round 1 matchup to the Melbourne Demons. Since then, the Hawks have gone on to win their next two contests, which consisted of a convincing 65-33 victory against Port Adelaide. Hawthorn also has the league’s leading scorer Aine McDonagh who has amassed 9 goals so far this season. With her help, the Hawks have easily covered this spread in their last two matches winning by an average of 25 points.

History has not been kind to Hawthorn in its recent meetings with Adelaide having lost both of the last two. However, the Hawks seem to have things going on the right track and should have enough to carry their momentum into this round and change the narrative.
