Balingen-Weilstetten looks to capitalize on that sag in momentum as they are riding the high of a big win last week against Handball Club Hamburg. Last week, HBW made its first appearance back in the top level of German handball since being regulated two seasons ago. Its 30-26 victory against Hamburg was spearheaded by Sascha Pfattheicher who notched seven goals. Balingen-Weilstetten earned its promotion by winning its way out of the 2. Bundesliga last season. They seem to have not missed a beat since.
Neither of these sides seem to have figured each other out given they have played to a draw in three of their last four matches. Eisenach did claim the last victory in the series with a 34-21 win two years ago. However, this is a very different HBW squad than when they last faced.
