How to Bet On Darts

There are several ways to get in on the betting action in darts. These include the normal moneyline bets that pick an outright winner. You can also choose to bet against the spread where a player has to win or lose by a set number of legs to cash your ticket.

On top of those, there are individual match props including a player to score a perfect 9-dart finish, which player will have the most 180’s, or even, what the highest checkout will be for a player.

This week, I’ve selected a value bet from all four matches which offer the best opportunity to cash based on the matchup and the odds.

BetMGM Premier League Darts 2025 Night 15 Betting Picks

Michael van Gerwen vs Nathan Aspinall First Set of Darts 101 Or More (+125 via Draftkings)

Thursday, May 15th, 11:15 a.m. Pacific

Aspinall enters the night with a 3 dart average of 95.76 in Premier League play. He has jumped out to a hot start lately, connecting for two 180s and a 140+ on his first set of darts in each of his last three matches. However, he averaged 70 on his first set of darts over his four prior matches. The Asp did happen to fall within this range in two of those appearances.

Michael van Gerwen carries a 3 dart average of 96.34 into this match. Mighty Mike has been a slow starter, averaging only 79.2 on his first set of darts in his last five Premier League matches. In spite of that, he has managed to get within this margin in two of those outings.

With all that said, you can throw those numbers out of the window as there is something about this matchup that brings both of these guys out to play. They have combined for an average of 119.5 on their first set of darts over the course of their four Premier League matches. This includes a 180 and a 140 by Aspinall in their first two meetings.

Gerwyn Price vs Stephen Bunting Over 9.5 Total Legs (-115 via DraftKings)

Thursday, May 15th, 11:45 a.m. Pacific

It’s been a rough season for Stephen Bunting as he finds himself out of postseason contention. However, The Bullet hasn’t stopped putting forth his best efforts despite a tough go of it this year. Both of his matches last week took more than nine legs to decide. In fact, six of his last ten Premier League matches have extended beyond this mark. Overall, 9 of his 19 matches have exceeded nine legs.

Price has secured a spot in the postseason. He’s amassed 24 points so far in the regular season, placing him third on the table overall. He has taken three of his last five matches in the Premier League to at least ten legs. The Iceman has played at least ten legs in 11 of his 24 matches this season.

These two have met twice this year in Premier League play. It took Bunting 11 legs to beat Price on his way to his only Nightly win this season. In the Night 6 quarter-finals, Price came out on top with a 6-4 win over Bunting on his way to one of his three nightly wins.

Chris Dobey vs Rob Cross Under 5.5 Total 180s (-125 via Hard Rock)

Thursday, May 15th, 12:15 p.m. Pacific

Both of these players are in the bottom third of the table as far as average 180s per match this season. Dobby has thrown 64 in 20 matches (3.20 avg). Meanwhile, Cross has accounted for the least in the league, tossing just 51 of them in his 21 Premier League matches (2.43).

Dobey has thrown four or less 180s in each of his last four Premier League matches. Hollywood has averaged four 180s over his last six matches in the PL as well. Cross has only thrown six total 180s over his last four matches. To make matters worse, Voltage has failed to register even one in two of his last four.

Cross and Dobey met last on Night 6 where the two combined for four total 180s in eight legs. Not surprisingly, Dobey bested Cross 3-1 in that department.

Luke Humphries 3 Dart Average 98.5 or More (-120 via DraftKings)

Thursday, May 15th, 12:45 p.m. Pacific

The top two players on the table lock horns in what should be the most entertaining match in the Night 15 quarter-finals matches. Both are locked into the playoffs and are looking to put on a show.

Humphries boasts the second-best 3 dart average in the league behind only Luke Litiler. He’s averaging 99.7 per three darts in his 30 matches this season. He had the highest average of the night in 4 of the 14 rounds this year once again landing him second to Littler in that category.

Cool Hand Luke has had a 3 dart average of at least 99 in five of his last seven matches going back to Night 12. This match with Littler is a rematch of the Night 14 finals. In that contest, Humphries topped this prop total posting a 3 dart average of 100.96 to win the match.
