How to Bet On Darts
There are several ways to get in on the betting action in darts. These include the normal moneyline bets that pick an outright winner. You can also choose to bet against the spread where a player has to win or lose by a set number of legs to cash your ticket.
On top of those, there are individual match props including a player to score a perfect 9-dart finish, which player will have the most 180’s, or even, what the highest checkout will be for a player.
This week, I’ve selected a value bet from all four matches which offer the best opportunity to cash based on the matchup and the odds.
BetMGM Premier League Darts 2025 Night 12 Betting Picks
Luke Humphries vs Nathan Aspinall Highest Checkout Over 113.5 (-115 via DraftKings)
Thursday, April 24th, 11:15 a.m. Pacific
Last week, Nathan Aspinal nailed a 170 checkout in his quarter-finals match against Gerwyn Price. In doing so, he secured his second week as the player with the highest checkout of the night. Previously, The Asp topped the table on Night 8 with a 142 checkout.
So far this season, Aspinal has a 97.55 checkout average. In his 20 matches in the Premier League, he has had 11 100+ checkouts. He has had a checkout of at least 114 in six of his last ten league matches including a 142 when he and Luke Humphries met in the Night 8 semi-finals.
Humphries has appeared in 23 matches over the course of the Premier League season. He has tossed a 100+ checkout in 17 of them. He has a 95.09 average checkout and is tied with Rob Cross for the most nights with the highest checkout total. Cool Hand Luke has only bested this mark in two of his last ten league matches. However, he did surrender a checkout of at least 114 to three of his opponents in that span.
Luke Littler Match Winner & Highest Checkout & Most 180s (+200 via ESPN BET)
Thursday, April 24th, 11:45 a.m. Pacific
Luke Littler enters Night 12 second in the World Rankings. He is also first in the Premier League standings earning four nightly wins. He’s won the most matches, the most legs, and has the highest leg differential. HIs opponent, Michael van Gerwen, is hanging on just outside of the top four with 15 points. Mighty Mike has yet to win a night and has won only eight matches overall. Littler has won seven of the last ten head to head matches against van Gerwen dating back to last May.
Littler leads the league with 122 180s in his 25 matches. He has registered more 180s than his opponent in 17 of them as well. On top of that, he has had the most 180s in a week six times this season. He also owns the highest checkout average in this league (112.40) in the league. He’s hit a higher checkout than his opponent in 64% of his matches which is the second-best average in the league.
The Nuke hit this trifecta the last time these two faced off on Night 7 last month. He is going off as long as -300 to win this match outright. You might as well add some value by throwing in these other variables to the mix.
Rob Cross Over Stephen Bunting (+100 via FanDuel)
Thursday, April 24th, 12:15 p.m. Pacific
A quick look at the standings and you may wonder why Rob Cross is the underdog in this match. Voltage has amassed 12 points in the league so far which is seven points more than Stephen Bunting who has five points. Maybe, the books are taking into account that Bunting won Night 9 and just recently made it to the Night 11 finals last week.
However, if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that Bunting has not beaten Cross in three years. The last time The Bullet bested Voltage was in a European Tour match in May of 2022. Cross has beaten Bunting in their last eight head-to-head meetings including the Night 1 quarter-finals.
Cross at -110 to win outright on BetMGM is still not a bad deal considering Bunting is as long as -130 on ESPN BET. Take advantage of the misprice now before the books correct.
Gerwyn Price 3 Dart Average Less Than 97.5 (+100 via DraftKings)
Thursday, April 24th, 12:45 p.m. Pacific
Price currently has a 96.08 3 dart average over his 17 matches this season. That is the third lowest percentage in the league. The Iceman is 1-4 against this total in his last five Premier League matches. Price has had two matches against Chris Dobey this season and has failed to reach this mark in both outings.
