Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Underdog Fantasy Picks 2025
The Formula 1 season continues this week with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. This race is set for 50 laps around the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. At just under four miles (6.174 km), this course features three DRS zones, and 27 corners.
This week’s picks will take advantage of a couple of drivers whose finishing projections are set too low. One of them has been a dominant name in the sport for the last few seasons. The other is a rookie that is making some noise in his first season as a Formula 1 driver.
To play Underdog Fantasy, all you need to do is choose whether a driver will finish better than or worse than their projected finishing positions. It’s as simple as that. The more selections you make, the higher your multiplier will get, increasing the amount of money you stand to win.
Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Underdog Fantasy Picks 2025
Max Verstappen Better Than 3.5
Last season, you were lucky to get Max Verstappen at anything worse than a 0.5 finishing projection. The four-time champion compiled 53 wins during his championship seasons including taking home 19 out of 22 first place trophies in 2023.
This season has been a bit of a struggle for the principal Red Bull driver. However, Verstappen’s definition of struggling would be the pinnacle of most drivers’ careers. Max has two podium finishes so far this season and has finished inside of the top 6 in all four races.
Lucky for him, he gets to take on a track in Jeddah on which he has done nothing but dominate. In the four race history of this track, Max has two wins and has been runner up in the other two.
If anyone can snap back from a rough patch, it’s Max Verstappen. Two weeks ago, he won from the pole in Suzuka proving all is not lost for him and his team. Here, we don’t even need him to win, we just need him to find a step on the podium which is something we have come to expect out of him every week.
Kimi Antonelli Better Than 6.5
The second Mercedes entry has not missed a beat since rookie Kimi Antonelli stepped in to replace the legendary Lewis Hamilton. The young Italian missed the podium by one place in his first ever Formula 1 race in Melbourne. He went on to post back-to-back sixth place finishes in Shanghai and Suzuka. Last week in Bahrain, he was unable to hold on to his fifth place start, ending the day in 11th place.
Mercedes has done well at this track historically with both of its drivers finishing inside of the top 6 in two of the four races. At least one of the Silver Arrows has beaten this finishing projection in all four runnings at Jeddah.
Antonelli has shown plenty of speed over the course of his rookie season. He even led 10 laps two weeks ago in Japan. He should be able to bounce back after last week’s finish and put himself back into the top 6 mix this week.
