Call of Duty League Betting Picks January 10, 2025

The Call of Duty League continues this weekend with its first Minor tournament of the season. This is a single elimination bracket challenge that is seeded based off of the points standings after the first two weeks of the Major 1 Qualifiers.

Four teams have secured a first round bye leaving the remaining eight to fight it out for the chance to advance and take home the $20,000 prize pool.

Action begins on Friday, January 10th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific. You can head to the Call of Duty League YouTube Channel for all of the day’s matches.

How to Bet on Call of Duty League

A match is decided by a best of three games format. Each game varies in game modes as well as maps. There are several ways to bet on Call of Duty league including the traditional moneyline bets.

Other opportunities include the spread which applies to the overall game tally at the end of the match. There is also an over/under option for total games played in a match.

You also have moneyline options available for individual maps up to the first three guaranteed in a match. There are props on teams to win one or more maps and even correct map scores.

With plenty of ways to get in on the action, you should have no problem profiting from the Call of Duty League this weekend.

Minnesota ROKKR Over Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 (+115 via DraftKings)

Minnesota ROKKR ended last month’s qualifiers with back-to-back losses after starting the round with two wins. They’ll limp into this weekend with an 8-10 overall map record and have lost six of their last eight maps. However, they are currently still in sixth place in the standings with 20 points in spite of their troubles.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 has yet to win a match this season and sit just above the Vegas Falcons in last place in the standings. They have the second-worst game winning percentage securing victories on just 33.3% of their maps. They did manage to make things interesting their last time out, forcing a fifth game against OpTic Texas who are currently fifth in the standings.

Minnesota ROKKR holds the head-to-head advantage in this matchup having beaten Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 3-2 to open up their qualifying round. Getting them here at plus money to do it again is a solid investment.

Miami Heretics (+1.5) vs. Atlanta FaZe (-115 via DraftKings)

Miami Heretics enter this weekend 1-3 on the season, but are 4-0 covering this spread. They have taken their opponents to five games in all three of their losses while adding a 3-0 shutout against the Vegas Falcons to their resume. They have dominated during Control matches on Vault this season outscoring opponents 12-2 in their four matchups.

Atlanta FaZe is also 1-3 this year but are riding the momentum of a 3-1 win against the Vegas Falcons in their last match. They have won only six out of their 16 games this season and were shutout by Carolina Royal Ravens last month. They struggle in Control matches on Vault winning just once in four tries, which gives their opponents a perfect opportunity to pick up a map win.

An outright win for Miami Heretics at +255 is also tempting in this spot, but it’s scary considering they are on the wrong end of a three match losing streak.

Vegas Falcons (+2.5) vs. OpTic Texas (+255 via DraftKings)

The Vegas Falcons are still searching for their first match win of the season. To make matters worse, they have won only 14.3% of their games all year. They have been shutout twice so far which does not bode well for this bet. However, they did pick up a map victory against Atlanta FaZe in their last outing. On top of that, their only other game win came against first place Carolina Royal Ravens who have lost only four maps all season.

OpTic Texas is 3-1 so far this year but have only posted one 3-0 victory. In fact, they had to hold off a late charge against Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 in their last match watching their 2-0 lead evaporate before closing it out in a highly contested game 5 battle.

I don’t have much faith in an upset win here, but I can see Vegas stealing a game early just to make things interesting. You can double up on this if they do by also taking the Falcons to win at least one map at +250 on DraftKings.

Cloud9 New York vs. Vancouver Surge Over 4.5 Games Played (+165 via DraftKings)

Cloud9 New York is averaging 4.5 games per match this season having played 18 total games this year. Their last match ended in a 3-2 loss to Carolina Royal Ravens who are currently the top seed in the tournament bracket and await the winner of this match.

Three of the four matches for Vancouver Surge this year have ended in a 3-2 score. They average 4.8 games per match this year and are also coming off of a 3-2 contest their last time out.

Both teams enter this weekend with 1-3 overall records. This should be a tightly contested matchup so the best value here is to bank on it coming down to a game 5 showdown.
