Are you looking for something new to bet on but unsure where to start? Have no fear! We’ve got you covered with our 2024 PBR Bull Riding World Finals Championship picks! I know right now you’re asking yourself, wait, I can bet on bull riding? With DraftKings, you sure can! While these guys risk their bones on top of 1700-pound animals, you can place your hard-earned cash on who’s going to do it best.

The World Finals Championship begins in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 17th at 7:00 PM Pacific, 10 PM Eastern. There are ten teams competing for the championship. You may be sitting there thinking a team in Texas must be the favorite. You’d actually be wrong. A team in, wait for it, Kansas City, is the current favorite. Let’s get into it all with our picks and predictions.

2024 PBR Bull Riding World Finals Championship Picks and Predictions

First I’d like to backtrack to the second paragraph where I said the World Finals Championship begins in Las Vegas. The PBR is debuting a new playoff format and Las Vegas is where it starts with the Camping World team Championships Ride-In-Round. At this event, the four lowest teams will face off against each other, with the top two teams advancing to the Finals which takes place on October 18th – 2oth.

The Four bottom teams consist of the Arizona Ridge Riders, the New York Mavericks, the Oklahoma Wildcatters, and the Nashville Stampede. Ironically, only three of these teams are in the lowest four spots for odds, as the Oklahoma Wildcatters are showing a better chance at winning the Championship than the other three as well as better than the Missouri Thunder.

Which two teams will advance, and which teams have the best chance at winning it all? Here are the three teams I’m circling to have a chance at winning it all.

Kansas City Outlaws (+400 on DraftKings)

The Kansas City Outlaws are the favorites for the PBR World Finals Championship picks. There’s a reason for that. They have a league-best 19-9 record. Right behind them are the Carolina Cowboys, however, the Outlaws just defeated them on October 6th, winning with a score of 264.5 to 0. A complete sweep is rare this deep into the season and the Outlaws showed why they are considered the best team. They locked up the number one seed with their win.

Kansas City has World Champion and Rookie of the Year Cassio Dias who has had an incredible season. After their first-round bye, they’ll face the lowest-seeded team. That’s the benefit of being the number one seed and while upsets are always possible, the Outlaws will be focused.  The Outlaws have some of the best riders, including Dias. They’re favorites for a reason and it’s hard to fade a favorite.

If Dias can tame bulls like Man Hater like he did a little over a week ago, he can tame any bull. They’ll be a tough team to beat.

Top PBR World Finals Championship Pick: Kansas City Outlaws (+400)

Texas Rattlers (+450 on DraftKings)

I promise I’m not just picking the top favorites for my PBR World Finals Championship picks. The Rattlers may be the second favorite team, but they’re the fourth-ranked team as far as standings go. However, they’re the second favorite for a reason. The Rattlers are currently the hottest team in the PBR. They’re currently 16 and 12, but they’ve won 13 of their last 17 contests. In other words, they started the season 3-8, and have since poured it on.

Texas and Bull-Riding go together hand in hand. The team is 9-0 when riding in Fort Worth. Can they keep their momentum and magic going with a trip to Las Vegas? This is one of the best-managed teams in the PBR circuit. They lost a star in Brady Oleson midseason due to a career-ending injury. However, after mixing, matching, and several personnel swaps, this team has battled through. They’ve shown true grit, and true grit is something they’ll need to win.

It’s hard to fade a team that’s on a winning streak like the Rattlers. The adversity they’ve overcome and the winning streak can power them through even the toughest of competitions. I think they’ll give the other teams hell, and could be the last team standing when all is said and done.

Second PBR World Finals Championship Pick: Texas Rattlers (+450)

Austin Gamblers (+650)

We had to work in at least one of the long shots in our 2024 PBR World Finals Championship picks and that’s where the Austin Gamblers come in. In case you didn’t own a map (hello, Google?), Austin is in Texas. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again, Texas and bull-riding seem to go hand in hand. That doesn’t change for the Austin Gamblers.

The star power on this team alone is enough to place some of your money on them. This team is filled with guys who have been here before and won’t be shaken by the bit stakes. This year they added 2018 World Champion Kaique Pacheco. He’s been red hot and entering October, he had converted seven of his last nine attempts. If you’re new to bull-riding, that means he lasted eight seconds and wasn’t bucked off by the big bull in seven of his last nine rides.

Not being bucked off is the name of the game and the way to score points. They also have two-time PBR Teams MVP Jose Vitor Leme who has been on fire and has done enough to keep his name in the MVP race as well. Austin will face off against Missouri, a team that just barely made it from having to face off in the first four. Austin should win that one and then could ride the momentum to the finals.
