UFL Conference Championships Picks & Parlay!
Michigan Panthers vs Birmingham Stallions (-1.5)
When and where to watch: June 8th at 3:00 PM Eastern on FOX
Birmingham Stallions
Skip Holtz is the King of Spring, winning three titles with three different quarterbacks. He’s had J’Mar Smith starting for this team, and I don’t see any reason he should change now. Smith was working at Dunkin’ Donuts earlier this season before coming back to lead the Stallions once again.

The team boasts a strong ground game with Ricky Person and CJ Marable. While their defense isn’t as dominant without Scooby Wright, it’s still above average. The thing I love about them most is the pedigree. This is a winning organization and they’ll be pushing for a four-pete. In fact, getting them into the Championship for the storyline is the best thing the UFL could do.
Michigan Panthers
Head coach Mike Nolan is puzzling based on the decisions he makes. He split time between Danny Etling and Bryce Perkins for part of the season. Last week, in a game that didn’t matter, he pulled Rocky Lombardi and put Danny Etling in the game. You’d think he’d want to ensure he stayed healthy.

Perkins is likely the league’s best quarterback but has missed three weeks with an ankle injury. Will he have any rust coming into the UFL playoffs? Also, can we trust Nolan to play him the whole game if he doesn’t have rust? I don’t.
UFL Conference Championships picks: Stallions (-1.5) – they head for the four-pete. Prop Bet: Deon Cain to Score a Touchdown (+148) – the Panthers have one of the worst pass defenses and Cain has been on fire.
DC Defenders vs St. Louis Battlehawks (-2)
When and where to watch: June 8th at 8:00 PM Eastern on ABC
DC Defenders
DC returned Jordan Ta’amu at quarterback and opened the season as one of the favorites. However, their defense faltered after losing coordinator Gregg Williams to a college coaching job. His departure led to a steep drop-off, and the unit has never recovered. They throw the ball well, but their defense has been terrible.
St. Louis Battlehawks
The Battlehawks started strong with Manny Wilkins at quarterback before injury sidelined him. Max Duggan took over but hasn’t looked great. While the passing game struggles, the run game thrives. With the Defenders struggling against the run, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Battlehawks run for 200 yards.

The Battlehawks’ defense features the league’s sack leader and several All-Pro defensive backs. They’ll look to pressure DC and Ta’amu and slow them down. The Championship is in the BattleDome. Last year, the Battlehawks didn’t make it, and the turnout wasn’t great. If you’re into conspiracies, the Stallions 4-pete vs. Battlehawk’s home crowd makes for a great script.
UFL Conference Championship picks: Battlehawks (-2). Jerveon Howard over 24.5 rushing yards. He’s the backup running back, but I think he, Saylors, and Duggan will all go for over 50.
UFL Conference Championships Parlay
Not a lot to parlay this week, so I’m just riding with my picks. Stallions (-1.5) and Battlehawks (-2). It’s only +281, but I’m confident in it.
