Call of Duty League Betting Picks January 30

The Call of Duty League continues this weekend to determine the winner of the Toronto Ultra Major I tournament. These Call of Duty League Betting Picks cover the opening round of the tournament.

Qualifying wrapped up last week and teams have been seeded for the opening round of the tournament. Eight of the twelve teams will compete in Round 1 on Friday with the winning teams advancing to Round 2 on Saturday. Losing teams will have to battle their way through the Elimination Round along with the remaining four teams, to play for a seat in the Grand Finals on Sunday.

Action begins on Friday, January 30th, 2025 at 6:00 a.m. Pacific. You can head to the Call of Duty League YouTube Channel for all of the day’s matches and check out their website for the rest of the schedule and results.

How to Bet on Call of Duty League

A match is decided by a best of three games format. Each game varies in game modes as well as maps. There are several ways to bet on Call of Duty league including the traditional moneyline bets.

Other opportunities include the spread which applies to the overall game tally at the end of the match. There is also an over/under option for total games played in a match.

You also have moneyline options available for individual maps up to the first three guaranteed in a match. There are props on teams to win one or more maps and even correct map scores.

With plenty of ways to get in on the action, you should have no problem profiting from the Call of Duty League this weekend.

Boston Breach +1.5 vs. Atlanta FaZe (+125 via DraftKings)

The Boston Breach enter the Major Tournament with a 5-2 overall record during the qualifiers which puts them in fifth place overall in the standings. They have played 32 of a possible 35 games in the regular season and have won just over 53% of them.

An astounding five of their seven matches during the qualifying matches had to be decided in a fifth game. Boston Breach also took OpTic Texas to a game five during the Minor Tournament earlier this month.

It’s been a great month for Atlanta FaZe as they won the Minor Tournament two weeks ago taking down Carolina Royal Ravens for the $20,000 grand prize. They got off to a rocky start to the season dropping their first three matches. However, they have since ripped off four straight wins to close out the qualifiers including a 3-0 shutout against Boston Breach.

I can see Atlanta FaZe riding their momentum to a Round 1 win. Even still, I feel it will be hard to shut Boston Breach out for a second time in a week.

Vancouver Surge +1.5 vs. Toronto Ultra (-115 via DraftKings)

The Vancouver Surge went 4-3 in the qualifying matches and are the seventh seed in the Major Tournament. They have won three straight matches and recently handed Carolina Royal Ravens their second loss of the season last week in a 3-2 upset.

Five of their seven matches have ended in a 3-2 score this year including a five map contest against Toronto Ultra in Week 1. They have played all but two of the 35 possible maps during the qualifying round.

At 6-1, Toronto Ultra are tied with OpTic Texas for first place in the standings. However, their 63.3 game winning percentage was just shy of claiming the top spot in the tournament. The only team they have shutout this season was the Vegas Falcons who have won only four maps all year.

The books have Toronto Ultra at -270 for an outright which makes this discount worth the risk of a shutout. A $10 bet will bring you back $8.70 in profit.

Carolina Royal Ravens Over Los Angeles Thieves (+220 via DraftKings)

Carolina Royal Ravens jumped out to a 4-0 start before dropping back-to-back matches which cost them a couple of spots in the standings. As a result, they enter the Major Tournament as the fourth seed. Last week, they rallied back to win their final match of the qualifiers in a 3-2 contest against Miami Heretics.

They took down both Cloud9 New York and OpTic Texas on their way to the finals of the Minor Tournament. Unfortunately they couldn’t keep it going and lost to Atlanta FaZe. I expect them to have the same level of early success in this tournament as well.

Los Angeles Thieves went 5-2 during the qualifiers. But, they are now on the wrong side of momentum losing two of their last three matches. They earned a bye in the Minor Tournament, but were bounced in their first match by Atlanta FaZe.

This will be a tightly contested match and will likely take five maps to decide. If you don’t feel good about a Carolina Royal Ravens outright, you can take them at +1.5 for -105 instead.
