Call of Duty League Betting Picks January 17-19

The Call of Duty League continues this weekend as we jump back into the qualifying matches for the Toronto Ultra Major I tournament.

Only two weeks of qualifying remain before the Major Tournament begins at the end of the month. All twelve teams will compete this weekend attempting to better their potential seeding in the opening brackets.

Action begins on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific. You can head to the Call of Duty League YouTube Channel for all of the day’s matches and check out their website for the rest of the schedule and results.

How to Bet on Call of Duty League

A match is decided by a best of three games format. Each game varies in game modes as well as maps. There are several ways to bet on Call of Duty league including the traditional moneyline bets.

Other opportunities include the spread which applies to the overall game tally at the end of the match. There is also an over/under option for total games played in a match.

You also have moneyline options available for individual maps up to the first three guaranteed in a match. There are props on teams to win one or more maps and even correct map scores.

With plenty of ways to get in on the action, you should have no problem profiting from the Call of Duty League this weekend.

Cloud9 New York over Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 (-110 via DraftKings)

Friday January, 17th 12:00 p.m. Pacific

It’s been a rough start to the season for Cloud9 New York as they currently sit at 1-4 in the standings with just 10 CDL points on the year. However, they are carrying a little momentum into the week with a 3-0 win against the Vancouver Surge in last week’s Minor Tournament.

On top of that, they have taken the undefeated Carolina Royal Ravens to a deciding game five in both of their meetings this year including their Round 2 contest in the Minor Tournament. Their lone victory came against Minnesota RØKKR who are in sixth place in the standings.

Things haven’t gone much better for Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 this year as they are still looking for their first match win of the season. At 0-4, they are one of two winless teams and have no CDL points to show for their efforts.

To their credit, they have managed to keep things close, losing by an average of 1.4 games in their five combined matches this season, forcing a game five in three of them.

I don’t expect Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 to get shutout here and the books agree pricing them at -900 to win at least one map, but it’s hard to see them pull out the win.

Toronto Ultra vs. Minnesota RØKKR Over 4.5 (+150 via DraftKings)

Friday January, 17th 3:00 p.m. Pacific

Toronto Ultra is one of three undefeated teams in the regular season standings. However, they have played 17 of a possible 20 total maps to get to their 4-0 record. They have participated in two five-game matches so far in the regular season as well as a 3-2 loss in the Minor Tournament last week.

Much the same, Minnesota RØKKR has also had to fight and scrap their way to a 2-2 regular season record. They have played 18 out of a possible 20 maps with a 44.4% win percentage. Two of their matches in the qualifying round have come down to a game five. In fact, all three of their Minor Tournament games ended in a 3-2 including a win against Toronto Ultra.

You can get Minnesota RØKKR to win outright at +150 as well if you think they can pull off another upset, but I feel much safer taking the total at the same price.

Carolina Royal Ravens vs. Boston Breach Over 4.5 (+150 via DraftKings)

Saturday January, 18th 3:00 p.m. Pacific

Perched atop the standings, Carolina Royal Ravens are undefeated in the qualifier standings. In spite of their record, they have still had to play all but four of the 20 possible maps this season. They have only one five-game match during the qualifying round, however, two of their three matches in the Minor Tournament went to a game five.

If there is one thing Boston Breach loves is drama. Every match they have played this season has ended in a 3-2 score. That includes all four of their regular season games so far as well as their lone contest in the Minor Tournament last week. They are the only team to have played every possible map this year. Even still, they are 3-1 overall and will give their opponents all they can handle this week.

Atlanta FaZe pulled out an upset against Carolina Royal Ravens to win the Minor Tournament last week. Boston Breach is +135 for an outright win here, yet I am more comfortable predicting that this match sees all five maps whoever wins.
